"I know first-hand the power of mentoring. My father was often absent due to his struggles with addiction and incarceration, so I was raised in Kentucky by a single teenage mother. That environment prepared me to continue in a cycle of choices that would lead to the same outcomes. However, through family encouragement and my talents in music, drama, and dance, I was given a ticket to change the course of my future. Upon graduating from the School of Creative and Performing Arts, I received a full-ride scholarship to the University of Louisville to study classical music. Neither of my parents completed college, so I relied on teachers, community, and church mentors to navigate the transition to college."

" I am passionate about advocating for young adults who just need a little help out of their environmental circumstances. While I stand confident and well educated, I will not forget my past experiences and the role models who influenced the trajectory of my life. My history is a testament to how mentorship can empower a student's future."
